Spectrum Spotlight is a series dedicated to highlighting our couple’s wedding journey! This month’s Spotlight wedding is Millay and Damon. Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at Vinewood Stables located in picturesque Newnan, GA on January 19th, 2020.
Millay & Damon first met SE Events at the Magic Moments Bridal Tasting back in July of 2019. After meeting with their Account Manager John Johnson and explaining their need for a Southern Hip Hop dance environment fused with Traditional Haitian Kompa music, they made the decision to book Spectrum and also have John personally DJ their event! From there they were able to add traditional Haitian songs on their Online Music Planning Forms, and begin planning the details of their special day! On the day of the wedding, the weather was beautifully sunny for their outdoor ceremony at Vinewood, and for the reception, the fun mix of Haitian Kompa music and Hip Hop kept the crowd jumping all night long!
After the event the groom wrote this five-star review on Google:
“John Johnson was my dj…he was Freaking Awesome. He setup everything thing and kept the party moving all night. This was a different mix of families my family is southern African American and my wife’s family is Haitian. Two totally different music types, we meet with John twice and explained situation. He studied on the Haitian music called Kompa, and did an excellent job. Trust me SE Events is a great great company. Please use the company for your next event.”
