The wedding year is in full swing, and we get to see many trends come and go. There are many new trends that are “in” and we love. And a few that we have noticed are going away. Yes, sometimes we love to see those leave also!

Se let’s start with a new fun trend…

LEAVE A MESSAGE

In 2025, with texting and social media so prevalent, many of us never leave a voice message. And I know many don’t know what to say when you have to put pen to paper. But we all can say it!

The Audio Guestbook is a great idea. Your friends and family will love just picking up this “phone” to leave you a heartfelt call. The big plus is years from now hearing the voices of old friends and family you have not talked to in years.

Now a trend we have seen less of…

LONG CEREMONIES

We all know that the reason for this big day is the “I Do’s”. Seeing the couple walk into the ceremony area. The tears of joy! Couples do understand that guests love seeing them tie the knot. But, sometimes, quicker is better!

We have seen quick 10-15 minute ceremonies often. Why? More and more, our couples are realizing that they can control how long the ceremony might be. We have seen more family members or friends become legal to officiant that wedding, and it’s all about being personal, informal, and to-the-point.

Couples want to get to the party and celebrations ASAP!

Now a fun new trend…

LARGE LETTERS

Why not say “we did it” with a larger-than-life exclamation! This is a fun way to show how “BIG” (FORGIVE THE PUN) your love is.

Add an unforgettable and timeless look to your next special event by renting giant marquee letters. And it’s not just the couple’s last name we see. We have seen LOVE, HAPPINESS, and even BAR at a few weddings. Have fun and be creative!

The last is a trend slowly leaving…

THE GARTER REMOVAL AND TOSS

Traditionally, the girls at the wedding have loved when the bride does the bouquet toss. We all laugh and it brings a big smile even to the guys’ faces.

BUT, the opposite has often become true when it comes to the garter routine. More and more, couples have been passing on this trend for a simple reason… they think it is awkward, weird, or just inappropriate! And, because of this, the garter toss from the groom to the guys has been slowly fading as well.

Yes, it’s true. The younger couples have been saying a big “NO” to this age-old trend!

I am sure there are many more “NEW” and “FADING” trends we will see in 2025. It helps keep weddings fresh and exciting, so keep ’em coming!

See you on the dance floor!
